God Bless Our Troops

I live in Massachusetts.  Kerry is one of my Senators.  He is well educated, but ignorant of most subjects, plus as he indicates he is also Dumb.  What he said was written down and read as it was written.  He makes no mistakes in oratory.  He is an anti- American slug that is protected by Judges that cannot read the constitutions, and the Democratic owners of Massachusetts.  No one will run against him other than the Greens/ Rainbow.

Josh

This is from a military wife:

This was written by my husband, Aaron, who is currently deployed to Iraq, in defense of a recent comment made by Senator John Kerry. Pass it along, it might inspire someone else to speak up! ~ Michelle

And from her husband:

Yesterday John Kerry said, "You know education, if you make the most of it, you study hard, you do your homework, and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well, and if you don't, you get stuck in Iraq"

So I wrote him a letter:

I am a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps. I am currently on my second tour in Iraq, a tour in which I volunteered for. I speak Arabic and Spanish and I plan to tackle Persian Farsi soon. I have a Bachelors and an Associates Degree and between deployments I am pursuing an M.B.A. In college I was a member of several academic honor societies, including the Golden Key Honor Society. I am not unique among the enlisted troops. Many of my enlisted colleagues include lawyers, teachers, mechanics, engineers, musicians and artists just to name a few. You say that your comments were directed towards the President and not us. If we were stupid, Senator Kerry, we might have believed you.

I am not a victim of President Bush. I proudly serve him because he is my Commander and Chief. If it were you who was President, I would serve you just as faithfully. I serve America, Senator Kerry, and I am also providing a service to the good people of Iraq. I have not terrorized them in the middle of the night, raped them or murdered them as you have accused me of before. I am doing my part to help them rebuild. My role is a simple one, but important. You see, Senator Kerry, like it or not, we came here and removed a tyrant (who terrorized Iraqis in the middle of the night, and raped them and murdered them). And we have a responsibility to see to it that another one doesn't take his place. The people of Iraq are recovering from an abusive relationship with a terrible government and it's going to take some time to help them recover from that. We can't treat this conflict like a microwave dinner and throw a temper tantrum because we feel like it's taking too long.

Senator Kerry, you don't have to agree with this war. You don't have to say nice things about those of us who choose to make sacrifices for the rights of every American rather than sit back and simply feel entitled to it. But please, Senator Kerry, if you're going to call me a stupid murdering rapist, stick by what you say. Don't tell me that I misunderstood or that you would never insult a veteran because you're one too. Having been there and done that does not give you a free pass to insult me.

My suggestion for you, Senator Kerry, is to remember that your speeches are recorded, and broadcast to us simpletons over here. You may want to write down what you want to say before you say it, maybe have somebody look at it before you say it and tell you what others might hear. Remember that we can't read your mind, if there are any misinterpretations in what you say, it's because you didn't communicate clearly.

Good luck to you Senator Kerry, if nothing else it's always entertaining to watch you try and climb out of the holes that you constantly dig for yourself.

Let’s Take Another Look At Gun Control:

Doctors:

(A) The number of physicians in the U.S. is 700,000.

(B) Accidental deaths caused by Physicians per year are 120,000.

(C) Accidental deaths per physician is 0.171.

(Statistics courtesy of U.S. Dept of Health & Human Services.)

Now think about this:
Guns:

(A) The number of gun owners in the U.S. is 80,000,000.  (Yes, that's 80 million.)

(B) The number of accidental gun deaths per year, all age groups, is 1,500.

(C) The number of accidental deaths per gun owner is   .000188.

(Statistics courtesy of FBI.)

So, statistically, doctors are approximately 9,000 times more dangerous than gun owners.

Remember, "Guns don't kill people, doctors do."

FACT: NOT EVERYONE HAS A GUN, BUT ALMOST EVERYONE HAS AT LEAST ONE DOCTOR.

Please alert your friends to this alarming threat. We must ban doctors before this gets completely out of hand!!!!!

Out of concern for the public at large, I have withheld the statistics on lawyers for fear the shock would cause people to panic and seek medical attention

DEMOCRATS ARE OUT TO GET YOUR GUNS...THEY HAVE ULTERIOR MOTIVES...! THEY CAN'T IMPRISON PEOPLE INTO A SOCIALIST STATE IF THEY ARE ARMED!!

Gun Control

Whether you agree or not, it's an interesting lesson in history. Something to think about...In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control.  From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, a total of 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.

China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Guatemala established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, one million 'educated' people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated in the 20th Century because of gun control: 56 million.

It has now been 14 months since gun owners in Australia were forced by new law to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed by their own government, a program costing Australia taxpayers more than $500 million dollars. The first year results are now in:

Australia-wide, homicides are up 3.2 percent

Australia-wide, assaults are up 8.6 percent

Australia-wide, armed robberies are up 44 percent (yes, 44 percent)!

In the state of Victoria alone, homicides with firearms are now up 300 percent. (Note that while the law-abiding citizens turned them in, the criminals did not, and criminals still possess their guns!)

While figures over the previous 25 years showed a steady decrease in armed robbery with firearms, this has changed drastically upward in the past 12 months, since criminals now are guaranteed that their prey is unarmed.

There has also been a dramatic increase in break-ins and assaults of the ELDERLY. Australian politicians are at a loss to explain how public safety has decreased, after such monumental effort and expense was expended in successfully ridding Australian society of guns. The Australian experience and the other historical facts above prove it.

You won't see this data on the American evening news or hear our president, governors or other politicians disseminating this information

Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws affect only the law-abiding citizens.

Take note my fellow Americans....before it's too late!  The next time someone talks in favor of gun control, please remind them of this history lesson.

With guns, we are 'citizens'.

Without them, we are 'subjects'.

If you value your freedom, Please spread this anti-gun control message to all of your friends.

The Words of Dictators Preparing for War

by Newt Gingrich
Posted Sep 25, 2006

You may be wondering what the vicious, anti-American rhetoric in the United Nations last week really means -- not to mention the troubling silence that followed from our leaders. Let me give you my analysis of what it could mean if we allow our enemies to occupy the moral high ground:

One day Americans may watch North Korean-designed, Iranian-built missiles being installed in Venezuela. We would be left wondering if these missiles are carrying Iranian or North Korean nuclear warheads. We will then better understand the meaning of last week's speeches.

For those of you who are unconvinced, here are three statements that every American should know and think about. They are from the three men -- three very dangerous men -- who spoke to us last week.

"The devil came here yesterday. Yesterday the devil came here. Right here. And it smells of sulfur still today."

-- Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, referring to President Bush, on the floor of the United Nations General Assembly

"To those who doubt, to those who ask is it possible, or those who do not believe, I say accomplishment of a world without America and Israel is both possible and feasible."

     -- Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad

"No army in the world is strong enough to disarm us."

-- Hezbollah terrorist leader Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah, last week to a "victory rally" of thousands of Hezbollah supporters.

So my question to you is this: If these aren't the words of dictators preparing for war, how can you explain them?

Loud Applause at the UN -- Silence in America

Here is how the New York Times described the response in the UN General Assembly to Hugo Chavez's venomous speech: "The gasps. The horrified giggles. The loud applause that lasted so long that the organization's officials had to tell the cheering group to cut it out."

But at least as troubling as the response of the so-called diplomats at the UN (most of whom are recipients of U.S. aid, by the way) was the lack of response by American leaders.

Writing in the Wall Street Journal about Chavez's speech,
Peggy Noonan hit the nail on the head: "His remarks were startling. No one wants to dignify them with a response. But that's a mistake. Because the world heard them."

America's lack of response to the vitriolic anti-American speech at the United Nations and elsewhere this week was a fundamental mistake. It projects a message of weakness to the world, and our politics and attitudes of weakness only feed our enemies' sense of confidence.

In fact, in the Washington Post, columnist
David Ignatius wrote that the "overriding theme" of Iranian dictator Ahmadinejad's visit to America was "confidence." We've seen this confidence before. It reminded Ignatius of Ahmadinejad's predecessor, Ayatollah Khomeini, when he led Iran's decent into tyranny in the late 1970s fed by an anti-American ideology. The message of both Iranian dictators, writes Ignatius, was this: "America cannot do a damn thing."

Three Strategies to Change the United Nations

The spectacle of hate and anti-Americanism being vigorously applauded by those sustained by our aid and contributions to international organizations does more than just discredit the participants -- it calls the whole UN process into question. The recent, modest efforts at reform there have clearly failed. The United States needs to immediately undertake three strategies to transform the UN from the anti-American, anti-freedom forum it now is into an effective champion for the spread of democracy and human rights.

1.       Hold Dictators and Demagogues Accountable: Following Chavez's tirade of lies and personal insults to our President, the United States should have taken him on, not ignored him. We should have demanded that he personally apologize and that the General Assembly censure him. We owe it to ourselves and to an effective UN to confront head-on every lie about America and freedom uttered there.

2.       Demand Our Money's Worth: America contributes 22 percent of the United Nation's budget, but what do we get for our money? We need to begin to use all our resources -- our diplomacy and our economic muscle -- to organize the votes worldwide to profoundly reform the UN. All of our ambassadors must be tasked with using whatever carrots and sticks are available in our relations with other countries to see that the UN is reorganized. Because if the United Nations isn't organized in support of democracies and against dictatorships, what are we and our money doing there?

3.       Put the Burden of Proof on Them: America should begin to seek out and create alternative forums for dealing with other nations until the United Nations has proved to us it is reformed. The burden of proof should be on the United Nations to show us that it can be something more than a soapbox for tyrants and a megaphone for hate.

Are Things Looking Up for November?

Despite the bad news coming from the United Nations this week, there was good news on the home front.

First, an update on the
American Eleven: On Wednesday, by a vote of 228 to 196, the House passed legislation to require every individual who wants to vote in the 2008 federal elections to have a photo ID (American Eleven Action Item #4).

Also on Wednesday, following a Winning the Future
Special Alert urging you to call your senators, the Senate voted to prevent a Democratic filibuster on the Secure Fence Act (American Eleven Action Item #2). Once again, your phone calls, letters and emails are proving that real change starts with the American people, not the Washington elite.

And not coincidentally, the polls are showing brighter prospects for Republicans in the November elections. In the USA Today/Gallup poll, when American are asked whether they will vote for Republicans or Democrats in the fall, the Democrats' advantage has dropped from 11 points in late July to dead even with Republicans. The Fox News poll shows the Democrats' lead shrinking from 16 points in late August to three points today.

Will We Win the Future?

Could we be seeing a reversal of electoral fortune? Only time will tell.

And what about that imagined future scenario of North Korean-designed, Iranian-built missiles being installed in Venezuela? Here, again, only time -- and American will -- will tell. But there is one thing we can know now, and it's not so different from what we're seeing with the November elections: When we do what's right, and when we listen to the American people, we come closer to winning the future. So let's keep winning.

Your friend,

Newt Gingrich

YOU WORRY ME!
By American Airlines Pilot Captain John Maniscalco

"I've been trying to say this since 9/11.  You worry me.  I wish you didn't.  I wish when I walked down the streets of this country that I love, that your color and culture still blended with the beautiful human landscape we enjoy in this country.   But you don't blend in anymore.  I notice you, and it worries me.  I notice you because I can't help it anymore.  People from your homelands, professing to be Muslims, have been attacking and killing my fellow citizens and our friends for more than 20 years now.  I don't fully understand their grievances and hate but I know that nothing can justify the inhumanity of their attacks.

On September 11, 2001, nineteen ARAB-MUSLIMS hijacked four jetliners in my country.  They cut the throats of women in front of children and brutally stabbed to death others.  They took control of those planes and crashed them into buildings killing thousands of proud fathers, loving sons, wise grandparents, elegant daughters, best friends, favorite coaches, fearless public servants, and children's mothers.

The Palestinians celebrated; the Iraqis were overjoyed, as was most of the Arab world.

So I notice you now.  I don't want to be worried.  I don't want to be consumed by the same rage and hate and prejudice that has destroyed the soul of these terrorists.  But I need your help.  As a rational American, trying to protect my country and family in an irrational and unsafe world, I must know how to tell the difference between you and the Arab/Muslim terrorist.

How do I differentiate between the true Arab/Muslim-Americans and the Arab/Muslims in our communities who are attending our schools, enjoying our parks, and living in OUR communities under the protection of OUR Constitution while they plot the next attack that will slaughter these same good neighbors and children?  The events of September 11th changed the answer.  It is not my responsibility to determine which of you embraces our great country, with ALL of its religions, with ALL of its different citizens, with all of its faults.  It is time for every Arab/Muslim in this country to determine it for me.

I want to know, I demand to know, and I have a right to know whether or not you love America.  Do you pledge allegiance to its flag?  Do you proudly display it in front of your house, or on your car?

Do you pray in your many daily prayers that your Allah will bless this nation, that he will protect and prosper it?  Or do you pray that your Allah will destroy it in one of your "Jihads"?

Are you thankful for the freedom that only this nation affords?  A freedom that was paid for by the blood of hundreds of thousands of patriots who gave their lives for this country?  Are you willing to preserve this freedom by paying the ultimate sacrifice?  Do you love America?  If this is your commitment, then I need YOU to start letting ME know about it.

Your Muslim leaders in this nation should be flooding the media at this time with hard facts on your faith, and what hard actions you are taking as a community and as a religion to protect the United States of America.   Please, no more benign overtures of regret for the deaths of the innocent because I worry about who you regard as innocent.

No more benign overtures of condemnation for the unprovoked attacks because I worry about what is unprovoked to you.  I am not interested in any more sympathy...I am only interested in action.

What will you do for America-- our great country-- at this time of crisis, at this time of war?

I want to see Arab-Muslims waving the AMERICAN flag in the streets.  I want to hear you chanting "Allah Bless America ." I want to see young Arab/Muslim men enlisting in the military.  I want to see a commitment of money, time, and emotion to the victims of this butchering and to this nation as a whole.  The FBI has a list of over 400 people they want to talk to regarding the WTC attack.  Many of these people live and socialize in Muslim communities.  You know them.  You know where they are.

Hand them over to us, now!  But I have seen little even approaching this sort of action.  Instead I have seen an already closed and secretive community close even tighter.  You have disappeared from the streets.  You have posted armed security guards at your facilities.  You have threatened lawsuits.  You have screamed for protection from reprisals.

The very few Arab/Muslim representatives that HAVE appeared in the media were defensive and equivocating.  They seemed more concerned with making sure that the United States proves who was responsible before taking action.  They seemed more concerned with protecting their fellow Muslims from violence directed toward them in the United States and abroad than they did with supporting our country and denouncing "leaders" like Khadafi, Hussein, Farrakhan, and Arafat.  If the true teachings of Islam proclaim tolerance and peace and love for all people then I want chapter and verse from the Quran and statements from popular Muslim leaders to back it up.  What good is it if the teachings in the Quran are good and pure and true when your "leaders"
are teaching fanatical interpretations, terrorism, and intolerance?

It matters little how good Islam SHOULD BE if large numbers of the world's Muslims interpret the teachings of Mohammed incorrectly and adhere to a degenerative form of the religion.  A form that has been demonstrated to us over and over again.  A form whose structure is built upon a foundation of violence, death, and suicide.  A form whose members are recruited from the prisons around the world.  A form whose members (some as young as five years old) are seen day after day, week in and week out, year after year, marching in the streets around the world, burning effigies of our presidents, burning the American flag, shooting weapons into the air.  A form whose members convert from a peaceful religion, only to take up arms against the United States of America, the country of their birth.  A form whose rules are so twisted that their traveling members refuse to show their faces at airport security checkpoints, in the name of Islam.

Hezbollah Terrorists in America

By Dale Hurd
CBN News

CBNNews.com – (CBN News) - The leader of Hezbollah has declared America the enemy. Many Arabs and Muslims in America openly support Hezbollah.

Is this a potential threat to our safety?

Several thousand people marched through the Detroit suburb of Dearborn a few weeks ago, chanting "Hezbollah" and holding up photos of Hezbollah leader Sheik Nasrallah and posters comparing President Bush to Hitler.

Similar protests took place in San Francisco, New York, and other cities.

The U.S. government calls Hezbollah a terrorist organization, but don't tell that to these Americans.

Osama Siblani publishes the Arab-American News, the largest Arab-American newspaper in the United States. He said, “No, They are not terrorists. Absolutely not. No. They are freedom fighters.”

He told the Chicago Tribune that if the FBI wants to go after Hezbollah supporters in Dearborn, "…they better bring a fleet of buses. I, for one, would be willing to go to jail."

Hezbollah is an Iranian creation, and although it has a measure of independence, it's considered Iran's proxy army in southern Lebanon. As many as 15,000 of Dearborn's

Arabs come from the Hezbollah stronghold of Bint Jbeil, Lebanon.

In fact, the current mayor in Bint Jbeil, Haj Ali Bazzi, is from Dearborn. He has an American passport and a Michigan driver’s license.

The dominant Islamic leader in Dearborn is Mohammed Ali Elahi, an Iranian-American whose Web site displays photos of Elahi with Hezbollah spiritual leader Sheikh Fadlallah and former Iranian President Rafsanjani, who once suggested nuking Israel.

Debbie Schlussel, a Detroit columnist and attorney, was the first to call attention to Elahi’s Web site and to his ties to Iranian government officials.

“I went to his Web site, and I found even more outrageous pictures of him with Ayatollah Khomeini--who we know held many Americans hostage for 444 days," Schlussel said. "We have pictures of him delivering prayers to the Iranian parliament. We have pictures of him with the former President of Iran, Mr. Khatami.”

Yet Elahi is respected by many in the Detroit area, and even does a regular column for the Detroit News.

He spoke with CBN News terrorism expert Erick Stackelbeck.

“We need to have another interview,” said Elahi, “of talking about Hezbollah – whether that is a terrorist organization or not. I know that, legally, in the U.S. now, Hezbollah is on that list. And whether we agree with the law or disagree, we have to follow the law of the land.”

Before 9/11, Hezbollah killed more Americans than any other terrorist group: 300 murdered in six separate attacks, including 241 Marines in the 1983 Beirut barracks bombing. Now, with America's building confrontation with Iran over its nuclear program, the New York Post reports that Hezbollah is prepared to activate terrorist sleeper cells in New York, Los Angeles, Boston, and Detroit.

No less than nine Federal prosecutors are investigating Hezbollah ties in the Detroit area alone. And the FBI has issued a nationwide alert for local and state police to be vigilant in investigating Hezbollah sympathizers.

Barbara Newman, a former investigative producer for ABC news, is co-author of Lightning Out of Lebanon: Hezbollah Terrorists on American Soil.

Newman said, "Hezbollah makes al-Qaeda look like Sunday-schoolers. They're the best light infantry in the world, and they're dangerous, and they're all over America.”

"It's an army that was started in 1982 by the Iranian Revolutionary Guards,” Newman explained. “And they wanted to impose the same type of regime on Lebanon as they have in Iran. They're a mortal enemy of the West and of democracy."

Hezbollah fighters have also already fought the United States in Iraq, and Newman says it’s building improvised explosive devices that kill GIs.

"The FBI just told me that Hezbollah is making the most advanced ones that are coming into play. Plus, they're training. They have offices there. It's not widely known," she said.

Arab and Muslim Americans who support Hezbollah have expressed anger that their patriotism is being questioned. But critics wonder how it's possible to support both Hezbollah and the United States.

Goodbye America !

FOR THOSE OF YOU ON THE "CONSERVATIVE" SIDE OF THE FENCE, READ THIS AND LEARN TO UNDERSTAND YOUR FEELINGS BETTER THAN EVER.

FOR THOSE OF YOU NOT ON THE "CONSERVATIVE" SIDE OF THE FENCE, READ AND LEARN FROM A DIFFERENT VIEWPOINT.

Please take the time to read this; it ought to scare the pants off you!

We know Dick Lamm as the former Governor of Colorado. In that context his thoughts are particularly poignant. Last week there was an immigration overpopulation conference in Washington , DC, filled to capacity by many of America 's finest minds and leaders. A brilliant college professor by the name of Victor Hansen Davis talked about his latest book, "Mexifornia," explaining how immigration - both legal and illegal was destroying the entire state of California . He said it would march across the country until it destroyed all vestiges of The American Dream.

Moments later, former Colorado Governor Richard D. Lamm stood up and gave a stunning speech on how to destroy America . The audience sat spellbound as he described eight methods for the destruction of the United States .. He said, "If you believe that America is too smug, too self-satisfied, too rich, then let's destroy America. It is not that hard to do. No nation in history has survived the ravages of time. Arnold Toynbee observed that all great civilizations rise and fall! And that 'An autopsy of history would show that all great nations commit suicide.'"

"Here is how they do it," Lamm said: "First, to destroy America, turn America into a bilingual or multi-lingual and bicultural country." History shows that no nation can survive the tension, conflict, and antagonism of two or more competing languages and cultures. It is a blessing for an individual to be bilingual; however, it is a curse for a society to be bilingual. The historical scholar, Seymour Lipset, put it this way: "The histories of bilingual and bi-cultural societies that do not assimilate are histories of turmoil, tension, and tragedy." Canada , Belgium, Malaysia , and Lebanon all face crises of national existence in which minorities press for autonomy, if not independence. Pakistan and Cyprus have divided. Nigeria suppressed an ethnic rebellion. France faces difficulties with Basques, Bretons, and Corsicans."

Lamm went on: Second, to destroy America , "Invent 'multiculturalism' and encourage immigrants to maintain their culture. I would make it an article of belief that all cultures are equal. That there are no cultural differences. I would make it an article of faith that the Black and Hispanic dropout rates are due solely to prejudice and discrimination by the majority. Every other explanation is out of bounds.

Third, "We could make the United States an 'Hispanic Quebec ' without much effort. The key is to celebrate diversity rather than unity. As Benjamin Schwarz said in the Atlantic Monthly recently: "The apparent success of our own multiethnic and multicultural experiment might have been achieved not by tolerance but by hegemony. Without the dominance that once dictated ethnocentricity and what it meant to be an American, we are left with only tolerance and pluralism to hold us together." Lamm said, "I would encourage all immigrants to keep their own language and culture. I would replace the melting pot metaphor with the salad bowl metaphor. It is important to ensure that we have various cultural subgroups living in America enforcing their differences rather than as Americans, emphasizing their similarities."

"Fourth, I would make our fastest growing demographic group the least educated. I would add a second underclass, unassimilated, undereducated, and antagonistic to our population. I would have this second underclass have a 50% dropout rate from high school."

"My fifth point for destroying America would be to get big foundations and business to give these efforts lots of money. I would invest in ethnic identity, and I would establish the cult of 'Victimology.' I would get all minorities to think that their lack of success was the fault of the major i ty. I would start a grievance industry blaming all minority failure on the majority population."

"My sixth plan for America's downfall would include dual citizenship, and promote divided loyalties. I would celebrate diversity over unity. I would stress differences rather than similarities. Diverse people worldwide! Are mostly engaged in hating each other - that is, when they are not killing each other. A diverse, peaceful, or stable society is against most historical precedent. People undervalue the unity it takes to keep a nation together. Look at the ancient Greeks. The Greeks believed that they belonged to the same race; they possessed a common language and literature; and they worshipped the same gods. All Greece took part in the Olympic games. A common enemy, Persia , threatened their liberty. Yet all these bonds were not strong enough to overcome two factors: local patriotism and geographical conditions that nurtured political divisions. Greece fe ll. "E. Pluribus Unum" -- From many, one. In that historical reality, if we put the emphasis on the 'pluribus' instead of the 'Unum,' we will balkanize America as surely as Kosovo."

"Next to last, I would place all subjects off limits; make it taboo to talk about anything against the cult of 'diversity.' I would find a word similar to 'heretic' in the 16th century - that stopped discussion and paralyzed thinking. Words like 'racist' or 'xenophobe' halt discussion and debate. Having made America a bilingual/bicultural country, having established multi-culturism, having the large foundations fund the doctrine of 'Victimology,' I would next make it impossible to enforce our immigration laws. I would develop a mantra: That because immigration has been good for America , it must always be good. I would make every individual immigrant symmetric and ignore the cumulative impact of millions of them."

In the last minute of his speech, Governor Lamm wiped his brow. Profound si l ence followed. Finally he said, "Lastly, I would censor Victor Hanson Davis's book "Mexifornia." His book is dangerous. It exposes the plan to destroy America . If you feel America deserves to be destroyed, don't read that book."

There was no applause. A chilling fear quietly rose like an ominous cloud above every attendee at the conference. Every American in that room knew that everything Lamm enumerated was proceeding methodically, quietly, darkly, yet pervasively across the United States today.? Discussion is being suppressed. Over 100 languages are ripping the foundation of our educational system and national cohesiveness. Even barbaric cultures that practice female genital mutilation are growing as we celebrate 'diversity.' American jobs are vanishing into the Third World as corporations create a Third World in America - take note of California and other states - to date, ten million illegal aliens and growing fast. It is reminiscent of George Orwell's book "1984." In t hat story, three slogans are engraved in the Ministry of Truth building: "War is peace," "Freedom is slavery," and "Ignorance is strength."

Governor Lamm walked back to his seat. It dawned on everyone at the conference that our nation and the future of this great democracy is deeply in trouble and worsening fast. If we don't get this immigration monster stopped within three years, it will rage like a California wildfire and destroy everything in its path, especially The American Dream.

If you care for and love our country as I do, take the time to pass this on just as I did for you. Trust me, NOTHING is going to happen if you don't!

There Are Reasons For Fear

If the Democrats win the next presidency this country will never again see the likes of our fighting men who have fought our wars since the revolution. Our schools are turning out more illiterate, irresponsible dope heads, brain washed to hate the flag, hate the country, and to care more about our enemies than our own troops. Since the first day we were attacked the Democrats have done nothing but criticize the president and our military leaders, who are the best on the planet, and sympathize with the enemy. They have tacitly admitted that they are more concerned about the welfare of the enemy than they do about our troops when they are captured, beheaded, chopped up and hung up in the town square. They are nothing more than a bunch of kissy face patty ass gutless wimps who would sell this country out to the UN in a heartbeat.

The main culprits in our pro terrorist senate are Kennedy, Kerry, Pelose, Reid, Boxer, Feingold, Durbin, Murtha and Hillary Clinton,

Also, McCain, Warner and the rest who still believe the Geneva Convention restrictions are still relevant in this war.

WAKE ISLAND POWs

I joined the marine corps on my 17th birthday in 1947. Just before I joined the marine corps I had just read the book, "The Story of Wake Island," by Colonel James P.S. Devereux, USMC. This was his story about his Wake Island marines which he commanded. As I read the book I gave little thought about the years they spent as POWs. What I was impressed with was what they did as fighting marines.

At the time of the sneak attack on Pearl Harbor, the most isolated outpost of the United States was probably the little band of marines at Wake Island far out in the Pacific. Attacked by surprise, poorly equipped, and utterly beyond hope of help or victory, they proved to be one of the toughest nuts that the enemy ever tried to crack. Their heroic two-weeks long defense is a saga of courage that every American can be forever proud of.

The battle story of Wake Island is every bit as thrilling today as it was during those battlefield hours when our marines were piling up the enemy dead around Wake Island.

At that time Guam was doomed to fall because the congress had been unable to understand that an island eight thousand miles from Washington could be of vital importance to the security of the western hemisphere, so the Japanese took it and it eventually cost us greatly to take it back. Boy that sounds like the congress we have today.

The Japanese attacked little Wake the day of Pearl Harbor, first with devastating bombing and subsequently with substantial naval and ground forces. Immediately, this obscure atoll became a symbol of national tragedy and individual glory. The pathetically small garrison, by holding out for fourteen historic days, and inflicting tremendous losses on the enemy, gave to the American spirit the kick that it needed. Our people gained the will to fight and the confidence in our ability to fight, and this was done, literally, "with the help of god and a few marines."

On the front page of the New York Times on the morning of December 25, 1941, it stated that the remnants of the garrison had surrendered. There was a photograph of Major (as he was then) Devereux. Over his photograph the times printed two great words: Semper Fidelis--the motto of the United States Marine Corps to which the marines of wake had been so conspicuously faithful.

On February 15, 1945 the USS Bennington (CV-20) (aircraft carrier) was approaching Tokyo. This was the first time in the war that the U.S. Navy reached the Japanese home islands and struck. In the ready room the USMC squadron was being briefed of the forthcoming mission. The skipper said, "there are some prisoner-of-war camps in this target area. In these camps are members of the marine corps, including undoubtedly some of the survivors of the garrison of Wake Island. They have been prisoners of the Japs for more than three years. When these men look up and see us we must be sure to be flying at a low enough altitude so that they will know who we are."

It was an expensive victory for the Japanese. By their own admission, Wake Island cost them 11 naval ships, 29 planes and more that 5,700 men killed.

The American losses were a dozen planes and 96 dead. Our dead included 46 marines 47 civilians and three sailors.

In the final attack on December 23, the Japs admitted the loss of one destroyer and 350 dead in addition to the two destroyers which they beached and which were gutted by Lieutenant Hanna's fire. The final attack was 26 dead, including a dozen civilians.

Those marines and others who fought in the defense of Wake Island fought until they had nothing to fight with. You might say they fought their way into prison camp. The key word is fought.

During my 20 years in the corps I have served under 7 officers and SNCOs who were wake island POWs. My first one was my DI in boot camp, SSGT Verga. And to this day I have never served with any finer marines.

Yes!  I feel like screaming names I think are ignorant on the subject of fighting in this war.

Josh a proud fighting Marine, Airman, and Soldier.

What a crew to draw to.

They think because they were elected to congress that they are experts on warfare. Especially the art of handling POWs. Their time and efforts would better be served in worrying about our war at home - - illegal aliens.

Hell we have people in the service of our country who are experts in handling POWs. We don't need a bunch of congress amateurs out guessing them and trying to tell them how to do their jobs.

We also don't need a president offering comprises and deals to them. Doesn't our president know that we have people who are experts in handling POWs. They don't need the president aiding and abetting the McCain 6.

Hell the McCain 6 is led by McCain. They are getting their clues from McCain the former POW who knows nothing about interrogating POWs for information. His MOS is a fighter pilot and his primary training is how to fly fighter planes. Somewhere in his training he missed out on how not to get shot down. While he was in prison camp Vietnam knew his father was an admiral and in charge of the naval forces off Vietnam. Because McCain had such status the Viets only ask him what his name, rank, and serial number was. Hell he liked that, so that is why he is on this name, rank, and serial number kick for POWs.

New Military Vessel This bit of news brought out some pretty strong feelings for a lot of folks......

 GOD BLESS AMERICA

USS New York

With a year to go before it even touches the water, the Navy's amphibious assault ship USS New York has already made history. It was built with 24 tons of scrap steel from the World Trade Center.

USS New York is about 45 percent complete and should be ready for launch in mid-2007. Katrina disrupted construction when it pounded the Gulf  Coast last summer, but the 684-foot vessel escaped serious damage, and workers were back at the yard near New Orleans two weeks after the storm.

It is the fifth in a new class of warship - designed for missions that include special operations against terrorists. It will carry a crew of 360 sailors and 700 combat-ready Marines to be delivered ashore by helicopters and assault craft.

"It would be fitting if the first mission this ship would go on is to make sure that bin Laden is taken out, his terrorist organization is taken out," said Glenn Clement, a paint foreman. "He came in through the back door and knocked our towers down and (the New York) is coming right through the front door, and we want them to know that."

Steel from the World Trade Center was melted down in a foundry in Amite, LA to cast the ship's bow section. When it was poured into the molds on Sept. 9, 2003, "those big rough steelworkers treated it with total reverence," recalled Navy Capt. Kevin Wensing, who was there. "It was a spiritual moment for everybody there."

Junior Chavers, foundry operations manager, said that when the trade center steel first arrived, he touched it with his hand and the "hair on my neck stood up."  "It had a big meaning to it for all of us," he said. "They knocked us down. They can't keep us down. We're going to be back."

The ship's motto? - 'Never Forget'

The road blocks some of us as believers in the Constitutions and many have no way of moving the obstacles in our way.  I have tried every way to no avail.  I live in a Commonwealth that has no approachable lines to our representatives.  I live in Massachusetts.  I always vote.  The offices that could count have no opposition.

Mr. Kennedy has done nothing for the country, and helped to lose all our Military bases where training of our fine men did take place.  This morning’s paper had him mention the WORD abandon.  This word should not be in his Lexicon.  I have over the years written many letters to his various addresses -  Snail Mail to his Washington office with attempts at using E/Mail.  All to deaf ears.  There is no one in the Massachusetts Democratic Party who would dare run against him in order that I and others may have a vote.

Mr. Kerry needs no remarks to describe him.  He cannot even understand that if we become a member of World Government that he, along with any family monies, would be the first victims.  The head of a World Body would rap the gavel and entertain a motion that all assets of the United States should be moved to the World Bank to be used to build up all countries other than the United States.  The United States received only one of five votes in the last United nations to move what the United Nations considered weapons of mass destructions.  A vote on our assets would find us with one vote while the continent of Africa would have over 50 against.  The other continents other than Australia would not likely vote for us.

The World Government would be no better than the United Nations.  There are more hungry people now than when the United Nations food program began.  For the United States this means very little.  To my knowledge all programs run by the United Nations have never been completed.  I would like to mention one in which I was involved that only my Faith in the one GOD brought me through.  This is a story never written because I am not a writer.

In the year 1950, the well trained, well armed, well armored with Russian T34 tanks, and much artillery, North Koreans crossed into South Korea.  The South Koreans had no army to speak of.  Their Police were in hamlets armed with sharpened bamboo spears.   The United Nations voted to send help.  The 24th United States Division was sent from Japan untrained no artillery, not one weapon that would stop a T34 tank.  The 25th Division was sent from Hawaii in the same condition except a battery of 105 cannons.  The 1st Cavalry was sent in like condition.  Please remember this is a United Nation Commanded force.  The units above as well as the South Korean "Army" were pushed the full length of the Peninsula - with nothing to keep them from being forced into the sea.  Remember this is a United Nations operation.  Keep those words in mind for the rest of the story.

General Douglas Mac Arthur diverted three (3) Marine rifle Battalions, each short a Company of rifle men and bound for Japan, to Pusan, South Korea.  Unlike our brothers in the Army we were well reinforced, and had all new modern weapons.  We stopped the North Korean Army in their push to the sea.  We, with new replacements for our Army brought some stability to the then known Pusan Perimeter.  This cost my company all of its Officers and many senior enlisted fighters.  To me it seems that General Mac Arthur may have not been successful in getting this maneuver to the United Nations troop deployment agency (which could have been run by a Russian United Nations unit).  This assertion seems even more plausible as things progressed.  Our unit disbanded to become the 5th Regiment of the 1st Marine Division.  This was 13 September, 1950.  We made a very successful Amphibious landing at Inchon, captured Kimpo Airfield, and recaptured the South Korean Capital of Seoul.  Again we lost all but one officer in the company. The Division turned Seoul over to other United Nations units that didn't fight so well.  The Marine Division left Inchon and proceeded to Wonson, on the West coast of North Korea.

Now pay close attention.

For Thanksgiving there was no organized North Korean Army in the Country.  So we celebrated, slapped each other on the back, and congratulated all on the great accomplishment for the United Nations.  The 8th Army on the West with the 10th Corps on the right moved north to check on unorganized North Korea soldiers.  Unknown to (we infantry types) a very high standing member of the United nations (China) had been deploying three full field armies across the Yalu River.  It seems in after thought that General Mac Arthur was aware and prepared to do something.  It now appears that the United Nations would not allow a member (Harry Truman) to follow through.  He was required as Commander in Chief to recall General Mac Arthur.  On 25 November no organized North Koreans were discovered.  While taking a break from the trials we had been through, and I was thanking the God for helping me from San Diego, through Pusan, Inchon, Kimpo Airfield, Seoul, Wonson, Chosin Reservoir and taking part in every firefight or Battle, of Dog Company, 1st Provisional Marine Brigade (rein), and loosing all our company Officers, but still won each engagement for seven weeks.  Then as a member of Dog Company 2nd Battalion, 5th Marines, 1st Marine Division fighting every company engaged firefight or battle to the capture of the South Korean Capital of Seoul, where again we lost all but one Platoon Officer (mine didn't make it.)  Then sailing to make an administrative landing at Wonson, hike the East side of the Chosin (not frozen) we then crossed to the west where we met the United Nations Chinese Army.  They had orders to annihilate the 1st Marine Division.  I again lost all my company Officers.  I have not a confirmation of leaving Korea, which is fine - the United Nations actions are still unfinished (common occurrence).   I was told that I was flown to the Hospital at Yokosuka, Japan 18 December, 1950.

    This recount is all true.

The new World Government will send units to punish us for any infractions of their DEMANDS.

I Was a Sailor Once
- Author Unknown

Sharing a glimpse of the life I so dearly loved...

I liked standing on the bridge wing at sunrise with salt spray in my face and clean ocean winds whipping in from the four quarters of the globe -

I liked the sounds of the Navy - the piercing trill of the boatswains pipe, the syncopated clangor of the ship's bell on the quarterdeck, harsh , and the strong language and laughter of sailors at work.

I liked Navy vessels -- plodding fleet auxiliaries,--ATF 76 USS Ute-- and amphibs, sleek submarines and steady solid aircraft carriers.

I liked the proud names of Navy ships: Midway, Lexington, Saratoga, Coral Sea, Antietam, Valley Forge - - memorials of great battles won and tribulations overcome.

I liked the lean angular names of Navy "tin-cans" and escorts - - DD 731 USS Maddox - mementos of heroes who went before us.

And the others - - San Jose, San Diego, Los Angeles, St. Paul, Chicago, Oklahoma City, named for our cities.

I liked the tempo of a Navy band .

I liked liberty call and the spicy scent of a foreign port.

I even liked the never ending paperwork and all hands working parties as my ship filled herself with the multitude of supplies, both mundane and to cut ties to the land and carry out her mission anywhere on the globe where there was water to float her.

I liked sailors, officers and enlisted men from all parts of the land, farms of the Midwest, small towns of New England, from the cities, the mountains and the prairies, from all walks of life. I trusted and depended on them as they trusted and depended on me - for professional competence, for comradeship, for strength and courage. In a word, they were "shipmates"; then and forever.

I liked the surge of adventure in my heart, when the word was passed: ''Now Hear This'' "Now set the special sea and anchor detail - all hands to quarters for leaving port," and I liked the infectious thrill of sighting home again, with the waving hands of welcome from family and friends waiting pier side

The work was hard and dangerous; the going rough at times; the parting from loved ones painful, but the companionship of robust Navy laughter, the "all for one and one for all" philosophy of the sea was ever present.

I liked the serenity of the sea after a day of hard ship's work, as flying fish flitted across the wave tops and sunset gave way to night.

I liked the feel of the Navy in darkness - the masthead and range lights, the red and green navigation lights and stern light, the pulsating phosphorescence of radar repeaters - they cut through the dusk and joined with the mirror of stars overhead. And I liked drifting off to sleep lulled by the myriad noises large and small that told me that my ship was alive and well, and that my shipmates on watch would keep me safe.

I liked quiet mid-watches with the aroma of strong coffee -- the lifeblood of the Navy permeating everywhere.

And I liked hectic watches when the exacting minuet of haze-gray shapes racing at flank speed kept all hands on a razor edge of alertness.

I liked the sudden electricity of "General quarters, general quarters, all hands man your battle stations," followed by the hurried clamor of running feet on ladders and the resounding thump of watertight doors as the ship transformed herself in a few brief seconds from a peaceful workplace to a weapon of war -- ready for anything.

And I liked the sight of space-age equipment manned by youngsters clad in dungarees and sound-powered phones that their grandfathers would still recognize

I liked the traditions of the Navy and the men and women who made them. I liked the proud names of Navy heroes: Halsey, Nimitz, Perry, Farragut, John Paul Jones and Burke. A sailor could find much in the Navy: comrades-in-arms, pride in self and country, mastery of the seaman's trade. An adolescent could find adulthood.

In years to come, when sailors are home from the sea, AND SO WE ARE,--We still remember with fondness and respect the ocean in all its moods - the impossible shimmering mirror calm and the storm-tossed green water surging over the bow. And then there will come again a faint whiff of stack gas, a faint echo of engine and rudder orders, a vision of the bright bunting of signal flags snapping at the yardarm, a refrain of hearty laughter in the wardroom and chief's quarters and mess decks.

Gone ashore for good we grow humble about our Navy days, when the seas were a part of us and a new port of call was ever over the horizon.

Remembering this, WE stand taller and say, " I WAS A SAILOR ONCE."

Discovery of heaviest element

This hurricane mess and gasoline issues are proof that it exists. A Major research institution has recently announced the discovery of the heaviest element yet known to science. The new element has been named "Governmentium".

Governmentium (Gv) has one neutron, 25 assistant neutrons, 88 deputy neutrons, and 198 assistant deputy neutrons, giving it an atomic mass of 312. These 312 particles are held together by forces called morons, which are surrounded by vast quantities of lepton-like particles called peons.

Since Governmentium has no electrons, it is inert. However, it can be detected, because it impedes every reaction with which it comes into contact. A minute amount of Governmentium causes one reaction to take over four days to complete, when it would normally take less than a second.

Governmentium has a normal half-life of 4 years; it does not decay, but instead undergoes a reorganization in which a portion of the assistant neutrons and deputy neutrons exchange places. In fact, Governmentium's mass will actually increase over time, since each reorganization will cause more morons to become neutrons, forming isodopes.

This characteristic of moron promotion leads some scientists to believe that Governmentium is formed whenever morons reach a certain quantity in concentration. This hypothetical quantity is referred to as Critical Morass.

When catalyzed with money, Governmentium becomes Administratium - an element which radiates just as much energy as Governmentium since it has half as many peons, but twice as many morons.

YOU WILL NEVER SEE THIS IN THE AMERICAN LIBERAL PRESS!!! IF THE LIBERAL DEMOCRATS

ARE NOT REINED IN THIS WILL BE HAPPENING HERE IN THE NOT TOO DISTANCE FUTURE.

Europe

It's fascinating that this should come out of Europe. Matthias Dapfner, Chief Executive of the huge German publisher Axel Springer AG, has written a blistering attack in DIE WELT, Germany's largest daily paper, against the timid reaction of Europe in the face of the Islamic threat. This is a must read by all Americans. History will certify its correctness.

EUROPE - THY NAME IS COWARDICE (Commentary by Mathias Dapfner CEO, Axel Springer, AG)

A few days ago Henry Broder wrote in Welt am Sonntag, "Europe - your family name is appeasement." It's a phrase you can't get out of your head because it's so terribly true.

Appeasement cost millions of Jews and non-Jews their lives as England and France, allies at the time, negotiated and hesitated too long before they noticed that Hitler had to be fought, not bound to toothless agreements.

Appeasement legitimized and stabilized Communism in the Soviet Union, then East Germany, then all the rest of Eastern Europe where for decades, inhuman suppressive, murderous governments were glorified as the ideologically correct alternative to all other possibilities.

Appeasement crippled Europe when genocide ran rampant in Kosovo, and even though we had absolute proof of ongoing mass-murder, we Europeans debated and debated and debated, and were still debating when finally the Americans had to come from halfway around the world, into Europe yet again, and do our work for us.     (The U. N. does nothing) Josh

Rather than protecting democracy in the Middle East, European appeasement, camouflaged behind the fuzzy word "equidistance,"now countenances suicide bombings in Israel by fundamentalist Palestinians.   (Europe is no longer) Josh

Appeasement generates a mentality that allows Europe to ignore nearly 500,000 victims of Saddam's torture and murder machinery and, motivated by the self-righteousness of the peace-movement, has the gall to issue bad grades to George Bush... Even as it is uncovered that the loudest critics of the American action in Iraq made illicit billions, no, TENS of billions, in the corrupt U.N. Oil-for-Food program.    (George Bush has saved millions of European and American lives) Josh

And now we are faced with a particularly grotesque form of appeasement. How is Germany reacting to the escalating violence by Islamic fundamentalists in Holland and elsewhere? By suggesting that we really should have a "Muslim Holiday" in Germany?   (Germany no longer exist) Josh

I wish I were joking, but I am not. A substantial fraction of our (German) Government, and if the polls are to be believed, the German people, actually believe that creating an Official State "Muslim Holiday" will somehow spare us from the wrath of the fanatical Islamists.    (The Holy Quran allows no holiday's) Josh

One cannot help but recall Britain's Neville Chamberlain waving the laughable treaty signed by Adolph Hitler, and declaring European "Peace in our time".   (only THE GOD can bring peace) Josh

What else has to happen before the European public and its political leadership get it? There is a sort of crusade underway, an especially perfidious crusade consisting of systematic attacks by fanatic Muslims, focused on civilians, directed against our free, open Western societies, and intent upon Western Civilization's utter destruction.  (they are not Muslim's.  They are Mohammedan) Josh

It is a conflict that will most likely last longer than any of the great military conflicts of the last century - a conflict conducted by an enemy that cannot be tamed by "tolerance" and "accommodation" but is actually spurred on by such gestures, which have proven to be, and will always be taken by the Islamists for signs of weakness.  (none living now will see the end unless the GOD intervenes) Josh

Only two recent American Presidents had the courage needed for anti-appeasement: Reagan and Bush.  (True) but only Bush 43! Josh

His American critics may quibble over the details, but we Europeans know the truth. We saw it first hand: Ronald Reagan ended the Cold War, freeing half of the German people from nearly 50 years of terror and virtual slavery. And Bush, supported only by the Social Democrat Blair, acting on moral conviction, recognized the danger in the Islamic War against democracy. His place in history will have to be evaluated after a number of years have passed.  (no attacks since 9/11) Josh

In the meantime, Europe sits back with charismatic self-confidence in the multicultural corner, instead of defending liberal society's values and being an attractive center of power on the same playing field as the true great powers, America and China.

On the contrary - we Europeans present ourselves, in contrast to those arrogant Americans", as the World Champions of "tolerance", which even (Germany's Interior Minister) Otto Schily justifiably criticizes.  (true) Josh

Why? Because we're so moral? I fear it's more because we're so materialistic so devoid of a moral compass. (coward is the word) Josh

For his policies, Bush risks the fall of the dollar, huge amounts of additional national debt, and a massive and persistent burden on the American economy - because unlike almost all of Europe, Bush realizes what is at stake - literally everything. (The GOD knows what we know not) Josh

While we criticize the "capitalistic robber barons" of America because they seem too sure of their priorities, we timidly defend our Social Welfare systems. Stay out of it! It could get expensive! We'd rather discuss reducing our 35-hour workweek or our dental coverage, or our 4 weeks of paid vacation... Or listen to TV pastors preach about the need to "reach out to terrorists. To understand and forgive".  (be wary of any pastor's) Josh

These days, Europe reminds me of an old woman who, with shaking hands, frantically hides her last pieces of jewelry when she notices a robber breaking into a neighbor's house.

Appeasement?  Europe, thy name is Cowardice. (true) josh
---God Bless America--- (if he wills) Josh

Greetings President for life,

In July 1950 a well armed, well trained, and armored fighting force of North Korea attacked the Sovereign nation of South Korea without provocation.

The United Nations acted swiftly to send a large number of member nations to help stop the invasion.  The units from the U. S. A. were sent from Japan, Hawaii, and the mainland.  They had no trained infantrymen, armor, or weapons that could stop a Russian made T34 tank.  Within days of the South Korean army and their allies being pushed off the Southern tip of the Korean Peninsula help arrived.  The 1st. Provisional Marine Brigade of the U.S.A. arrived at Pusan.  When they had stabilized the perimeter around Pusan they disbanded.  They became the 5th Regiment of the 1st. Marine Division.  There were three regiments assigned, but one (the 7th) was held up by weather.  The 1st. and 5th Regiments landed at Inchon against little resistance.  They re-captured the capital of South Korea.  They returned to their ships and made an undefended landing on the east coast at Wonson.  The Marine Division made a fairly mild advance to the Changin Reservoir.  The many units sent to South Korea could find no resistance from the North Korean Army.  The United Nations purpose was accomplished.

We were patting our selves for the short time it took us to accomplish a mission against such a formidable enemy of the United Nations.  We did well.  From August 2, 1950 until November 25, 1950 there was no sign of there being a formidable North Korean Army.

Myself as well as other front line fighters never dreamed that one of the top five powerful MEMBERS OF THE UNITED NATIONS WAS MASSING AT LEAST three or more full field armies above North Korea to keep the U. N. enemy from crossing into China.  We who had been there from the beginning would not believe the United Nations would send a powerful United Nation Member to try to kill us all.  Like all other United Nations projects it failed.  The war is not over because like always the United Nations never finishes what it starts.

My question is why were the Chinese allowed to remain members of the United Nations after trying to destroy the United Nations Forces that was sent to accomplish a job that has remained undone?  Why are the countries that fought so hard for the United Nations maintain their membership?  Why after so many soldiers (mostly U.S.A.) have the headquarters of the United Nations remained on American Soil?

WW 2 - Korea - Vietnam

June 26, 2005

Honorable Robert C. Byrd
United States Senate
Washington, DC  20510

Dear Senator Byrd:

Having served in the United States military for 35 years, beginning in 1942 at age 19, to include WWII, Korea and Vietnam, I had the misfortune to have spent 14 of those years of service in the Pentagon. In these various roles, I was obligated to spend many hours in the Congressional hearings before the House and Senate Armed Forces Committees. My experience went back to the days, which included Senator Russell, Senator Nunn and many other distinguished Senators.

Last Thursday, it was my lugubrious experience to observe on TV your turn on the Senate Armed Service Committee Hearing with Secretary Rumsfeld, General Myers, General Abizaid and General Casey. When your time arrived you expressed your self endowed sense of importance because you represent "We the People." During my many years in Washington, I never heard a member of the Senate speak to a senior member of the administration with the contemptuous manner in which you spoke to Mr. Rumsfeld. Yes, you are elected but you have survived as the greatest "Pork" thief to have ever served in the United States Senate while serving as Chairman of the Appropriations Committee. Your insulting remarks to Secretary Rumsfeld were the most disrespectful comments that I have ever heard form a United States Senator.

I served in Washington under eight Secretaries of Defense including Secretary Rumsfeld while he served in that capacity under President Gerald Ford. As a former U. S. Naval pilot officer, as well as a former member of the House of Representatives, I consider Mr. Rumsfeld to be the finest Defense Secretary since Secretary George C. Marshall

You repeated your senile self many times to inform how you must be reelected and your questions are from your constituents. "I need answers to my questions." I found your remarks were indeed insulting with intent when you said to the Secretary: "You come up here to lecture us." "I have had my full of your speeches".... "We are equal in terms of the three Branches of Government." "I have had enough of your smart answers." "Get off your high horse!" "I have to be elected, you don't." Mr. Rumsfeld responded with his usual courteous respect where most would have asked Chairman John Warner to be excused and simply walked from the hearing. With your heinous remarks, you even outshone Senator Kennedy, who suggested that Mr. Rumsfeld should resign because "the war has become a seemingly intractable quagmire." Who else in the political life is a more
accomplished artist of subterfuge, irresponsibility, cover-ups and lies than Chappaquiddick Teddy?

You went on to say how proud you are of our brave warriors. I was raised by parents to believe that when America was at war, politics stopped at our ocean shores. Having served during Vietnam, I know first hand how the expressed lack of homogeneous support from all America, including our Congress, quickly undermines the faith and courage of our soldiers, sailors, marines and airmen.  Senator Lindsey Graham, who expressed his support, yet stated "We have a chronic problem on our hands and people are beginning to question." There is no doubt about public opinion waning but in my opinion it is due to the naďve and loudly
expressed views of both the press and members of Congress who fail in support of our government. I say this for I don't wish to imply disloyalty.

When we are at war, we should speak with one voice. My family, from my great grandparents down to my own son, have served in the military and we believe that when we are at war, we need the expressed support of all Americans be they elected or simply family. I have searched your Biography to find that you never served in the United States military. Perhaps that is your problem.

While serving in the Pentagon, we were required to answer any inquiry from the Senate or House within 48 hours and I believe that routine still exists.  If you have any questions unanswered it most probably is a failure of your multi-million dollar taxpayer funded staff or your own senility. Most educated and informed Americans understand that we are in a World War with Jihadists. It
is far better that we are fighting this war in Afghanistan and Iraq rather than in our own countryside.

Obviously, you do not understand why we are in Iraq. I have taken the liberty to enclose a copy of a talk that I rendered at the request of a civic group of my fellow citizens last February.  Having been retired for 28 years, I am not entitled to any government information but this is my personal view of "Why We Are At War In Iraq" as a proud and educated American.  I have not observed you reading much these days because of your medical difficulties you no longer can hold the paper steady enough to read.  I trust that one of your taxpayer-funded staff might read it for you if you can sit still long enough.

A deeply anguished American,

Robert  Emmet  Hails

CC:  Senator Edward Kennedy

Every well-intentioned power that has ever stepped in and negotiated a ceasefire for an Arab aggressor has helped create the monsters we see around us today.  President Lahoud of Lebanon, a big Hezbollah supporter and a close ally of Syria, has been shrieking non-stop to the UN Security Council for the past two days to get them to force Israel into a cease fire.  Clearly he has been reading his autographed copy of  'Military Success for Dummies Arab Despots'” by the late Gamal Abdel Nasser of Egypt.  Ever since Nasser accidentally discovered the trick in '56, every subsequent Arab leader has stuck to his tried and true formula for military success: Instigate a war. Once the war is well underway and you are in the process of having your ass handed to you...get a few world powers to force your western opponent into a cease fire.  Whatever you do, don't surrender or submit to any terms dictated by your enemy. That would ruin everything! All you have to do is wait it out and eventually the world will become sickened at what is being done to your soldiers and civilian population...and will force a truce.  Once a truce has been called you can resume your intransigence (which probably caused the conflict in the first place), and even declare victory as your opponent leaves the field of battle.

This tactic has never failed. Not once. In fact it worked so well for the Egyptians in 1973, that to this day they celebrate the Yom Kippur War - a crushing defeat at the  hands of Israel -as a military victory! No kidding... it's a national holiday over there!

President Lahoud has already begun to shriek like a school girl to the UN Security Council to "Stop the violence and arrange a cease - fire, and then after that we'll be ready to discuss all matters."  Uh huh. Forgive me if I find that a tad hard to swallow. He allowed Hezbollah to take over his country. He allowed the regular Lebanese
Army to provide radar targeting data for the Hezbollah missile that struck the Israeli destroyer. He has turned a blind eye while Iranian and Syrian weapons, advisers and money have poured into his country.  And now that his country is in ruins he wants to call it a draw.  As much as it may sicken the world to stand by and watch it happen,
strong hands need to hold back the weak-hearted and let the fight continue until one side finally admits unambiguous defeat.

The following I lived through.  This being said, why is there a United Nations, and more important, why is the United States of North America a member?

The U.N. sent 61 nations with varying jobs to South Korea in 1950 because North Korea attacked the South with a highly trained, well armed, and armored army.  I went with the 1st Provisional Marine Brigade, (well reinforced) which landed in Pusan August 2, 1950.  We kept our untrained under armed army from being pushed into the sea.

Before Thanksgiving 1950 there was no functional North Korean army on the Korean Peninsula.

Remember this a U. N. action.  We were celebrating returning home by Christmas 1950.  One of the top five members of the U. N. that had a veto power to stop us from going to Korea at all, instead it massed 3 full field armies of volunteers across the Yalu River.  General Douglas McArthur was going to cripple them.  The U. N. troop deployment commission was headed by a veto holding Russian general.  The U. N. had our Commander in Chief refuse to let this happen.

While we were patting ourselves on the back, Chinese volunteers (members of the U.N.) crossed the Yalu with over 15 to 1 odds, and attacked (we relaxing) fighters.  This seemed odd to us.  We felt since they were top shelf members of our U. N. organization it was a slipup that would end within hours.

To this day no notice has come from anywhere that the U. N. was fighting the U. N. with the purpose of destroying our side of the U.N.  The War (police action is still going on).  This added a new mystery.  Of the hundreds of members in the U. N., why have the U. S. A. stood guard for over 55 years with out relief from the other members?

I feel that our government is so ignorant that they have never even considered this gross oversight.

I also have other feelings of our so called Government.  The Commander in Chief is verbalizing the making of Democracies.  We are not a Democracy or I would have a personal vote on all matters.  We are a Representative Republic.  What do we represent other than  lawyers who are unable to make a living as such are well trained to lie, cheat, and steal their way into government.  Those elected to office use their law training to make our government in its entirety a conflict of interest with no interest in the nation.  The congress makes only laws to benefit them individually.  Lawyers should not make laws.  The Commander in Chief, even though a lawyer, can not tell the other lawyer's they are writing on the wrong subject.  The Supreme Judiciary can not read the language of the United States Constitutions.  They have to interpret them, not read and determine if they are contained in the Constitutions or not.  They never agree on any subject, and they have only one subject to work with.

The Judges that are to make a determination on a case after a bevy of lawyers present their sides seem to dislike their jobs.  They are (at least in Massachusetts) more interested in making laws.  This at times effects a number of States.  Where are the law makers when this happens.  "O" I know, they are planning the next phony outing at government expense for a lavish life style.  No one that has had a semester in law school, and decides to continue should not be allowed to run for public office.  They can do very well fleecing Insurance companies for money paid by the insured.  They make money because 1/3 collected off the top is theirs win or loose.

Peace be with you

There Is A Difference  (The article below is fact.)

What's special about a Marine?
Author unknown

Ask a Marine what's so special about the Marines and the answer would be "Espirit de Corps", an unhelpful French phrase that means exactly what it sounds like - the spirit of the Corps, but what is that spirit, and where does it come from?
The Marine Corps is the only branch of the U.S. Armed Forces that recruits people specifically to fight.  The Army emphasizes personal development (an Army of One), the Navy promises fun (let the journey begin), the Air Force offers security (its a great way of life).

Missing from all the advertisements is the hard fact that a soldier's lot is to suffer and perhaps to die for his people, and take lives at the risk of his/her own. Even the thematic music of the services reflects this evasion.  The Army's Caisson Song describes a pleasant country outing. Over hill and dale, lacking only a picnic basket.  Anchors Aweigh, the Navy's celebration of the joys of sailing, could have been penned by Jimmy Buffet.  The Air Force song is a lyric poem of blue skies and engine thrust. All is joyful, invigorating, and safe.  There are no land mines in the dales nor snipers behind the hills, no submarines or cruise missiles threaten the ocean jaunt, no bandits are lurking in the wild blue yonder.

The Marines Hymn, by contrast, is all-combat. We fight our Country's battles, First to fight for right and freedom, we have fought in every clime and place where we could take a gun, in many a strife we have fought for life and never lost our nerve.

The choice is made clear. You may join the Army to go to adventure training, or join the Navy to go to Bangkok, or join the Air Force to go to computer school. You join the Marine Corps to go to War!

But the mere act of signing the enlistment contract confers no status in the Corps.  The Army recruit is told from his first minute in uniform that "you're in the Army now", soldier. The Navy and Air Force enlistees are sailors or airmen as soon as they get off the bus at the training center.  The new arrival at Marine Corps boot camp is called a recruit, or worse, but never a MARINE. Not yet, maybe never. He or she must earn the right to claim the title of UNITED STATES MARINE, and failure returns you to civilian life without hesitation or ceremony.

Recruit Platoon 2210 at San Diego, California trained from October through December of 1968. In Viet Nam the Marines were taking two hundred casualties a week, and the major rainy season operation Meade River, had not even begun. Yet Drill Instructors had no qualms about winnowing out almost a quarter of their 112 recruits, graduating eighty-one. Note that this was post - enlistment attrition; every one of those who were dropped had been passed by the recruiters as fit for service.  But they failed the test of Boot Camp, and not necessarily for physical reasons; at least two were outstanding high school athletes for
whom the calisthenics and running were child's play. The cause of their failure was not in the biceps nor the legs, but in the spirit. They had lacked the will to endure the mental and emotional strain, so they would not be Marines. Heavy commitments and high casualties not withstanding, the Corps reserves the right to pick and choose.

History classes in boot camp? Stop a soldier on the street and ask him to name a battle of World War One. Pick a sailor at random to describe the epic fight of the Bon Homme Richard. Everyone has heard of McGuire Air Force Base. So ask any airman who Major Thomas McGuire was, and why he is so commemorated.  I am not carping, and there is no sneer in this criticism. All of the
services have glorious traditions, but no one teaches the young soldier, sailor or airman what his uniform means and why he should be proud of it.

But ask a Marine about World War One, and you will hear of the wheat field at Belleau Wood and the courage of the Fourth Marine Brigade, fifth and sixth regiments.  Faced with an enemy of superior numbers entrenched in tangled forest undergrowth, the Marines received an order to attack that even the charitable cannot call ill - advised. It was insane. Artillery support was absent and air support had not yet been invented, so the Brigade charged German machine guns with only bayonets, grenades, and indomitable fighting spirit. A bandy-legged little barrel of a gunnery sergeant, Daniel J. Daly, rallied his company with a shout, "Come on you sons a bitches, do you want to live forever"?

He took out three machine guns himself, and they would give him the Medal of Honor except for a technicality, he already had two of them.  French liaison officers, hardened though they were by four years of trench bound slaughter, were shocked as the Marines charged across the open wheat field under a blazing sun directly into the teeth of enemy fire. Their action was anachronistic on the twentieth-century battlefield; so much so that they might as well have been swinging cutlasses. But the enemy was only human; they could not stand up to this. So the Marines took Belleau Wood. The Germans called them "Dogs
from the Devil."

Every Marine knows this story and dozens more. We are taught them in boot camp as a regular part of the curriculum. Every Marine will always be taught them! You can learn to don a gas mask anytime, even on the plane in route to the war zone, but before you can wear the Eagle Globe & Anchor and claim the title "Marine", you must know about the Marines who made that emblem and title meaningful. So long as you can march and shoot and revere the legacy of the Corps, you can take your place in
line. And that line is unified spirit as in purpose.

A soldier wears branch of service insignia on his collar, metal shoulder pins and cloth sleeve patches to identify his unit. Sailors
wear a rating badge that identifies what they do for the Navy.  Marines wear only the Eagle, Globe, and Anchor, together with personal ribbons and their CHERISHED marksmanship badges. There is nothing on a Marine's uniform to indicate what he or she does, nor what unit the Marine belongs to. You cannot tell by looking at a Marine whether you are seeing a truck driver, a computer programmer, or a machine gunner.  The Corps explains this as a security measure to conceal the identity and location of units, but the Marines' penchant for publicity makes that the least likely of explanations. No, the Marine is amorphous, even
anonymous, by conscious design.

Every Marine is a rifleman first and foremost, a Marine first, last and always! You may serve a four-year enlistment or even a twenty plus year career without seeing action, but if the word is given you'll charge across that wheat field! Whether a Marine has been schooled in automated supply, automotive mechanics, or aviation electronics, is immaterial.  Those things are secondary - the Corps does them because it must. The modern battlefield requires the technical appliances, and since the enemy has them, so do we, but no Marine boasts mastery of them. Our pride is in our marksmanship, our discipline, and our membership in a fraternity of courage and sacrifice. "For the honor of the fallen, for the glory of the dead", Edgar Guest wrote of Belleau Wood, "the living line of courage kept the faith and moved ahead."

They are all gone now, those Marines who made a French farmer's little wheat field into one of the most enduring of Marine Corps legends. Many of them did not survive the day, and eight long decades have claimed the rest. But their actions are immortal. The Corps remembers them and honors what they did, and so they live forever.  Dan Daly's shouted challenge takes on its true meaning - if you lie in the trenches you may survive for now, but someday you will die and no one will care. If you charge the guns you may die in the next two minutes, but you will be one of the immortals.

All Marines die; some in the red flash of battle, some in the white cold of the nursing home. In the vigor of youth or the infirmity of age, all will eventually die. But the Marine Corps lives on. Every Marine who ever lived is living still - in the Marines who claim the title today. It is that sense of belonging to something that will outlive your own mortality, which gives people a light to live by and a flame to mark their passing.

World War III

This is a tough one.  All the terrorists that do not follow a nationally recognized Government should be eliminated completely.  They are a deadly club that would put the Pirates of the world to shame.  As long as one is left live (even in prison) he or she is going to kill an innocent person   The Nations of the world that have given them any assistance should have the leaders of the time executed or jailed for their natural life.  The terrorists at this time are not primarily Arabs.  None are Muslim's.  They are Mohammedan's with no relationship to the Holy Quran.

The chance of the U.S.A. (despised by the world) escaping great damage and death is slim or none.  The lives we did know are gone.  We have to make the best of what is left and let the Creator of the Universe handle our lives for eternity.  For as long as we have left must be enjoyed, practicing love for all, hatred for none, while writing to all that we can reach with all the truth we can determine, and pray continually.

Things would be easier had we stood by the rules lay down as a Representative Republic with no one with law training being elected to any public position.

North Korea is not the problem.  They have nothing.  The missiles they play with are for China.  A veto holding member of the U. N.

In 1950 the U. N. ordered it's members to run North Korea out of South Korea.  I was there along with U. N. members from all over the planet.  I arrived August 2, 1950 and before Thanksgiving there was no North Korean Army.  We were celebrating the accomplishment of the U. N. request of we members of the organization.

The veto wielding U. N. member "China" crossed into North Korea against it's U. N. brothers.  There were many casualties.

Now China is using North Korea to draw us into what they feel is a finale act for the U. S. A.   The plan is for the U. S. A. to fire on a launched or prepared missile.  They will again use that as an aggressive act that calls for firing Nuclear missiles at us.  North Korea is just a puppet.  They have nothing to threaten anyone.

China knows that the U. N. never finishes their begun efforts.  The Korean Police action has never ended.  This allows the U. N. to keep 35,000 American Fighting men tied up doing an endless job.  Our Government is so stupid they don't see the hundreds of other U. N. members that could have relieved us of this tie down with other members in the last 55 or more years.

Should America stay as is, instead of returning to a God Fearing representative government we have little time left.  The Kennedy's. Kerry's and Pelosi's  will be the first to feel the sting.

Preface:

I am ill beyond recovery.  I still don't understand how I went to Korea under the auspices of the United Nations to fight hand to hand with China.  China was and is of the top five members of the U. N.   I have requested an answer to that question for 55 years.  The French undermined us in WW 2, and Vietnam (openly).  There is no mention of this in the few answers from my Commanders in Chief or representatives in Congress.

The World War now in progress is used by our government to weaken us even more.  They too are very blind to the fact that they will be the first to go, under a World Government..  It will only take two votes to make us a powerless nation.  One vote will be to turn all assets over to the World Bank to aid the underlings of the world.  The fact that they have had (20,000) 20 thousand years plus resources to become up to standard will be no argument.  The second vote will deprive us of a seat on any committee.  We will have only one vote against hundreds of nations on the other continents. No votes from North America.

I will fight till death

Josh.  .    .

Letter To The President

Honorable George W. Bush, President                                                          07/10/03

White House 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue

Washington, DC

My Commander in Chief,

I am ashamed by your speech in Africa, and your appearance at the door of no return.  I served in the efforts of this country in WW2, Korea, and Vietnam.  I raised a family of my wife Marian and 5 children.  Although these efforts took time I still managed to learn the history of slavery from West Africa.  The slaving began by permission from the Church to Portugal.  The Portuguese originally took the slaves home and sold them to Europeans.  The slaving continued down the coast of West Africa until the Portuguese found a fair wind, and only 1000 miles would bring them to a country in the America’s they called Brazil. Of the 20,000,000 captured in Africa by Africans only 10,000,000 (half of those captured) ever left the continent.  The 10,000,000 that did leave the continent found approximately 5,000,000 went to Brazil and other Portuguese possessions.

The Spanish obtained the charter of the Church and began slaving to the Spanish West Indies.  The other countries that entered the slave trade also used their colonies in South, Central, and Islands of the America’s.

The place you saw was the French Slave Station on Goree Island.  I say and can show that a Black West African was never brought to any part of North America that was controlled by the USA.

We became free colonies in 1775, and abolished Slaving in 1808, the same year, as did England.  American and British War Ships captured slave ships of other countries.  The slaves bought and sold in the USA were descendants of generations born here.  The slaves purchased while slaving was allowed came from 4th through 16th generations of West Indian, and South American slaves.

I suggest you talk to My Senator Kennedy.  He is from a long line of seamen.  The distance from West Africa to any USA owned land was over 5000 miles, when tacking is considered due to unfavorable winds.  There also is the Sargasso Sea between West Africa and North America that can strand a sailing vessel for long periods of time.  There is no way a sailing ship of the day could deliver a live cargo to the USA.  Even our famous Clipper Ships that could reach West Africa with goods to trade for slaves had to use the Middle Passage and sell its cargo before returning to the USA.  It is well documented that the clipper ships from the USA would leave the USA with such trade goods as rum, iron bars, and trinkets for trade, but on the way back would trade the few slaves a clipper could carry primarily for molasses that could be made into rum for the next trip.

I have much more information of those times, but most of this letter comes from “ Atlantic Slave Trade” by: Philip D. Curtin 1969, “Black Cargoes” by: Daniel Mannix 1972, “Slave religion” by: Albert J. Raboteau 1978,

The main point I am trying to make is most Blacks in the USA from 1775 until 1863 were Freemen.  The first Blacks in this country were English Sailors that jumped ship, plus the house servants that came to the colonies with the British.

This does not need to be said, but I can’t help it.  The mistreated slaves were the individuals that could not be sold because of their fitness.  When a man buys someone to help make him money, he will not damage or starve that person.  On the other hand if a slaver cannot sell his cargo, they will not be returned.  Their lot would be to abandonment or death.

Points of interest; White slaves sold in Boston under English rule were Scots captured at the battle of Dunbar around the year 1670.  Texas became a State in 1846.

Country                     Ships Voyages                   Slaves carried                     per trip

Portugal/ Brazil                         30,000                                4,650,000                              155

Spain/ Cuba                                 4.000                                1,600,000                              400

France, Guiana, W/Indies         4,200                                1,250,000                              300

Other EU countries i.e.: Germany 250                                 50,000                               200

I as a fighting man see no reason to consider the USA a part of slave trading.

Rather we are a country of slave freedom and salvation.

Ignoring this could be FATAL!
The following was written by someone unknown to me. It was forwarded by people that inadvertently cut out the writer's name. Too bad, indeed. The writer should be this country's leading contributor to our Foreign Policy thinking, if not our actual leader. Please read it, and, if you think it is correct, share it with others with the ability to think.  - Josh

To get out of a difficulty, one usually must go through it. Our country is now facing the most serious threat to its existence, as we know it, that we have faced in your lifetime and mine (which includes WWII).

The deadly seriousness is greatly compounded by the fact that there are very few of us who think we can possibly lose this war and even fewer who realize what losing really means.

First, let's examine a few basics:

1. When did the threat to us start? Many will say September 11th, 2001.
The answer as far as the United States is concerned is 1979, 22 years prior to September 2001, with the following attacks on us: Iran Embassy Hostages, 1979; Beirut, Lebanon Embassy 1983; Beirut, Lebanon Marine Barracks 1983; Lockerbie, Scotland Pan-Am flight to New York 1988; First New York World Trade Center attack 1993; Dhahran, Saudi Arabia Khobar Towers Military complex 1996; Nairobi, Kenya US Embassy 1998; Dar es Salaam, Tanzania US Embassy 1998; Aden, Yemen USS Cole 2000; New York World Trade Center 2001; Pentagon 2001.  (Note that during the period from 1981 to 2001 there were 7,581 terrorist attacks worldwide).

2. Why were we attacked?  Envy of our position, our success, and our freedoms. The attacks happened during the administrations of Presidents Carter, Reagan, Bush 1, Clinton and Bush 2. We cannot fault either the Republicans or Democrats as there were no provocations by any of the presidents or their immediate predecessors, Presidents Ford or Carter.

3. Who were the attackers?   In each case, the attacks on the US were carried out by Muslims.

4. What is the Muslim population of the World?   25%

5. Isn't the Muslim Religion peaceful?  Hopefully, but that is really not material.  There is no doubt that the predominately Christian population of Germany was peaceful, but under the dictatorial leadership of Hitler (who was also Christian), that made no difference.  You either went along with the administration or you were eliminated.  There were 5 to 6 million Christians killed by the Nazis for political reasons (including 7,000 Polish priests). (see http://www.nazis.testimony.co.uk/7-a.htm ).

Thus, almost the same number of Christians were killed by the Nazis, as the 6 million holocaust Jews who were killed by them, and we seldom heard of anything other than the Jewish atrocities. Although Hitler kept the world focused on the Jews, he had no hesitancy about killing anyone who got in his way of exterminating the Jews or of taking over the world - German, Christian or any others.  Same with the Muslim terrorists.  They focus the world on the US, but kill all in the way - their own people or the Spanish, French or anyone else.  The point here is that just like the peaceful Germans were of no protection to anyone from the Nazis, no matter how many peaceful Muslims there may be, they are no protection for us from the terrorist Muslim leaders and what they are fanatically bent on doing - by their own pronouncements - killing all of us "infidels".  I don't blame the peaceful Muslims.  What would you do if the choice was shut up or die?

6. So who are we at war with?  There is no way we can honestly respond that it is anyone other than the Muslim terrorists.  Trying to be politically correct and avoid verbalizing this conclusion can well be fatal.  There is no way to win if you don't clearly recognize and articulate whom you are fighting.

So with that background, now to the two major questions:
1. Can we lose this war?
2. What does losing really mean?

If we are to win, we must clearly answer these two pivotal questions.

We can definitely lose this war, and as anomalous as it may sound, the major reason we can lose is that so many of us simply do not fathom the answer to the second question - What does losing mean?

It would appear that a great many of us think that losing the war means hanging our heads,  bringing the troops home and going on about our business, like post Vietnam.  This is as far from the truth as one can get.  What losing really means is:

We would no longer be the premier country in the world.  The attacks will not subside, but rather will steadily increase.  Remember, they want us dead, not just quiet.  If they had just wanted us quiet, they would not have produced an increasing series of attacks against us, over the past 18 years.  The plan was clearly, for terrorist to attack us, until we were neutered and submissive to them.

We would of course have no future support from other nations, for fear of reprisals and for the reason that they would see we are impotent and cannot help them.

They will pick off the other non-Muslim nations, one at a time.  It will be increasingly easier for them.  They already hold Spain hostage.  It doesn't matter whether it was right or wrong for Spain to withdraw its troops from Iraq.  Spain did it because the Muslim terrorists bombed their train and told them to withdraw the troops.  Anything else they want Spain to do, will be done.  Spain is finished.

The next will probably be France. Our one hope on France is that they might see the light and realize that if we don't win, they are finished too, in that they can't resist the Muslim terrorists without us. However, it may already be too late for France.  France is already 20% Muslim and fading fast!

If we lose the war, our production, income, exports and way of life will all vanish, as we know it.  After losing, who would trade or deal with us if they were threatened by the Muslims.  If we can't stop the Muslims, how could anyone else?  The Muslims fully know what is riding on this war, and therefore are completely committed to winning, at any cost.   We better know it too and be likewise committed to winning at any cost.

Why do I go on at such lengths about the results of losing?  Simple. Until we recognize the costs of losing, we cannot unite and really put 100% of our thoughts and efforts into winning.  And it is going to take that 100% effort to win.

So, how can we lose the war?  Again, the answer is simple.  We can lose the war by " imploding".  That is, defeating ourselves by refusing to recognize the enemy and their purpose, and really digging in and lending full support to the war effort.  If we are united, there is no way that we can lose.  If we continue to be divided, there is no way that we can win!

Let me give you a few examples of how we simply don't comprehend the life and death seriousness of this situation.

- President Bush selects Norman Mineta as Secretary of Transportation.
Although all of the terrorist attacks were committed by Muslim men between 17 and 40 years of age, Secretary Mineta refuses to allow profiling.   Does that sound like we are taking this thing seriously?  This is war!  For the duration, we are going to have to give up some of the civil rights we have become accustomed to. We had better be prepared to lose some of our civil rights temporarily or we will most certainly lose all of them permanently.

And don't worry that it is a slippery slope.  We gave up plenty of civil rights during WWII, and immediately restored them after the victory and in fact added many more since then.  Do I blame President Bush or President Clinton before him?   No, I blame us for blithely assuming we can maintain all of our Political Correctness, and all of our civil rights during this conflict and have a clean, lawful, honorable war.  None of those words apply to war.  Get them out of your head.

- Some have gone so far in their criticism of the war and/or the Administration that it almost seems they would literally like to see us
lose.   I hasten to add that this isn't because they are disloyal.  It is because they just don't recognize what losing means.  Nevertheless, that conduct gives the impression to the enemy that we are divided and weakening, it concerns our friends, and it does great damage to our cause.

- Of more recent vintage, the uproar fueled by the politicians and media regarding the treatment of some prisoners of war, perhaps exemplifies best what I am saying.  We have recently had an issue, involving the treatment of a few Muslim prisoners of war, by a small group of our military police. These are the type prisoners who just a few months ago were throwing their own people off buildings, cutting off their hands, cutting out their tongues and otherwise murdering their own people just for disagreeing with Saddam Hussein.  And just a few years ago these same type prisoners chemically killed 400,000 of their own people for the same reason.  They are also the same type enemy fighters, who recently were burning Americans, and dragging their charred corpses through the streets of Iraq.   And still more recently, the same type enemy that was and is providing videos to all news sources internationally, of the beheading of American prisoners they held.   Compare this with some of our press and politicians, who for several days have thought and talked about nothing else but the "humiliating" of some Muslim prisoners - not burning them,
not dragging their charred corpses through the streets, not beheading them, but "humiliating" them.  Can this be for real?  The politicians and pundits have even talked of impeachment of the Secretary of Defense.  If this doesn't show the complete lack of comprehension and understanding of the seriousness of the enemy we are fighting, the life and death struggle we are in and the disastrous results of losing this war, nothing can.  To bring our country to a virtual political standstill over this prisoner issue makes us look like Nero playing his fiddle as Rome burned - totally oblivious to what is going on in the real world.  Neither we, nor any other country, can survive this internal strife.  Again I say, this does not mean that some of our politicians or media people are disloyal.   It simply means that they are absolutely oblivious to the magnitude, of the situation we are in and into which the Muslim terrorists have been pushing us, for many years.  Remember, the Muslim terrorists stated goal is to kill all infidels!  That translates into all non-Muslims - not just in the United States, but throughout the world.  We are the last bastion of defense.

We have been criticized for many years as being 'arrogant'.  That charge is valid in at least one respect.   We are arrogant in that we believe that we are so good, powerful and smart, that we can win the hearts and minds of all those who attack us, and that with both hands tied behind our back, we can defeat anything bad in the world!  We can't!  If we don't recognize this, our nation as we know it will not survive, and no other free country in the World will survive if we are defeated.   And finally, name any Muslim countries throughout the world that allow freedom of speech, freedom of thought, freedom of religion, freedom of the Press,
equal rights for anyone - let alone everyone, equal status or any status for women, or that have been productive in one single way that contributes to the good of the world.

This has been a long way of saying that we must be united on this war or we will be equated in the history books to the self-inflicted fall of the Roman Empire - if, that is, the Muslim leaders will allow history books to be written or read.

If we don't win this war right now, keep a close eye on how the Muslims take over France in the next 5 years or less.  They will continue to increase the Muslim population, of France and continue to encroach little by little, on the established French traditions.  The French will be fighting among themselves, over what should or should not be done, which will continue to weaken them and keep them from any united resolve.   Doesn't that sound eerily familiar?

Democracies don't have their freedoms taken away from them by some external military force.  Instead, they give their freedoms away, politically correct piece by politically correct piece.   And they are giving those freedoms away to those who have shown, worldwide, that they abhor freedom and will not apply it to you or even to themselves, once they are in power.   They have universally shown that when they have taken over, they then start brutally killing each other over who will be the few who control the masses.   Will we ever stop hearing from the politically correct, about the "peaceful Muslims"?

I close on a hopeful note, by repeating what I said above.   If we are united, there is no way that we can lose.   I hope now after the election, the factions in our country will begin to focus on the critical situation we are in, and will unite to save our country.   It is your future we are talking about!  Do whatever you can to preserve it.

                    --------------------------------------------------

After reading the above, we all must do this not only for ourselves, but our children, our grandchildren, our country and the world.  There are those that find fault with our country, but it is obvious to anyone who truly thinks through this, that we must UNITE whether Democrat or Republican, conservative or liberal and that includes the Politicians and media of our country and the free world!  Please share this with any you feel may want to read it. Our "leaders" in Congress ought to read it, too.

Sincerely,

Joshua Maurice Duncan, Mil. Retired

Subject: Escorting a KIA (Killed in Action) Home

 Author unknown:

Last week, while traveling to Chicago on business, I noticed a U.S. Marine sergeant in Dress Blues traveling with a folded flag, but I did not put  two and two together.  After we'd boarded our flight, I turned to the sergeant, who'd been invited to sit in First Class (and was seated across  the aisle from me), and inquired if he was heading home. "No sir" he  responded.  "Heading out?" I asked. "No. I'm escorting a Marine home." "Going to pick him up?" "No. He is with me right now.   He was killed in Iraq.  I am taking him home to his family."

The realization of what he had been asked to do hit me like a punch to the gut.  It was an honor for him.  He told me that, although he didn't know the soldier, he had delivered the news of his passing to the soldier's family and felt as if he did know them after so many conversations in so  few days.  I turned back to him, extended my hand, and said, "Thank you.  Thank you for doing what you do so my family and I can do what we do."

Upon landing in Chicago, the pilot stopped short of the gate and made the following announcement over the intercom.  "Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to note that we have had the honor of having Sergeant Steeley of the United States Marine Corps join us on this flight.  He is escorting a fallen comrade back home to his family.   I ask that your please remain in your seats when we open the forward door [so as to] allow Sergeant Steeley to deplane and receive his fellow soldier.  We will then turn off the seat belt sign."

Without a sound, all went as requested.  I noticed the sergeant saluting the casket as it was brought off the plane, and his action made me realize two things: I am proud to be an American, and I will continue to fly on American Airlines because it respects what our soldiers do every day. So here's a public thank-you to our military for doing what you do so we can live the way we do.

Please remember this story and the 2,300-plus like stories since the Iraqi Freedom commenced. Those who have made the supreme sacrifice for you and me. On Easter Sunday services, please include those who gave their lives so that we may meet in the church of our choice and pray to the Almighty to continue to shine over us.

Josh shares this well timed letter with us as well.

Like most Americans I am concerned about the 12,000,000 illegal Mexican
Immigrants that have invaded our soil, but it is equally troubling that
our young people do not meet the challenge of providing assistance in
the workplace of critical necessities.

This condition did not happen when our backs were to the wall during
World War II. The high school students displayed maturity much greater
than their time on earth.. My town was Jeffersonville, Indiana across
the Ohio River from Louisville, Kentucky. When a sophomore I delivered
the morning Louisville Courier Journals on my bicycle
to 200 customers during four seasons, and sold stamps for War Bonds. As
a junior I worked at the Jeffersonville Boat and Machine where we
produced LSTs to hall our troops to invade Normandy and Iwo
Jima. My job was in a labor gang to clean our every hold of the ship
after launching so it could be buffed and pained for sea. We carried
refrigeration coils and threw away asbestos scrap from the bulk head
construction. Later made a landing with the Marines in Pohang, Korea on
LST 104 that I helped in the construction.

As a senior I worked every other day from 3:30PM until 1100PM at the
Pennsylvania Railroad 24 track yard and walked the tracts checking and
recording rail cars for switching trains for Chicago. Other young men
and women worked in the steel mills of Gary. Throughout Indiana other
students plowed, and harvested corn and butchered live stock. The young
men for Harlan County Kentucky worked under ground in the coal mines.
Many brave ladies were welders, on high scaffolds in the ship yard dry
dock, while their husbands were away at war. Many young people worked at
the DuPont smokeless powder plan in nearby Charleston, Indiana where a
spark could cause these scattered processing plants to blow sky high.
Several blocks from my house on Meigs Avenue women sewed tents and
uniform for our soldiers at the Army Quartermaster Depot.

We never dreamed of immigrating anybody to Indiana to do our jobs. In
fact we were not happy that many of the hill people from Tennessee and
Kentucky invaded Indiana to work at our good paying defense plants. Most
of the high school students would enlist in the military at age 17 in
order to select the service of their choice rather than wait to be
drafted.

My concern is that most of our young people today seem to be more
attracted to tattoos, breast implants, and abortions rather than the
welfare, and survival of our great nation.  We would have lost World
War II with the attitude of our present generation. The exception being
the brave young men and women in our military that are courageously
defending our nation in its fight against terrorism around the world.

An Unnatural Disaster: A Hurricane Exposes the Man-Made Disaster of the Welfare State

by Robert Tracinski
Sep 02, 2005

by Robert Tracinski

It has taken four long days for state and federal officials to figure out how to deal with the disaster in New Orleans. I can't blame them, because it has also taken me four long days to figure out what is going on there. The reason is that the events there make no sense if you think that we are confronting a natural disaster.

If this is just a natural disaster, the response for public officials is obvious: you bring in food, water, and doctors; you send transportation to evacuate refugees to temporary shelters; you send engineers to stop the flooding and rebuild the city's infrastructure. For journalists, natural disasters also have a familiar pattern: the heroism of ordinary people pulling together to survive; the hard work and dedication of doctors, nurses, and rescue workers; the steps being taken to clean up and rebuild.

Public officials did not expect that the first thing they would have to do is to send thousands of armed troops in armored vehicle, as if they are suppressing an enemy insurgency. And journalists--myself included--did not expect that the story would not be about rain, wind, and flooding, but about rape, murder, and looting.

But this is not a natural disaster. It is a man-made disaster.

The man-made disaster is not an inadequate or incompetent response by federal relief agencies, and it was not directly caused by Hurricane Katrina. This is where just about every newspaper and television channel has gotten the story wrong.

The man-made disaster we are now witnessing in New Orleans did not happen over the past four days. It happened over the past four decades. Hurricane Katrina merely exposed it to public view.

The man-made disaster is the welfare state.

For the past few days, I have found the news from New Orleans to be confusing. People were not behaving as you would expect them to behave in an emergency--indeed, they were not behaving as they have behaved in other emergencies. That is what has shocked so many people: they have been saying that this is not what we expect from America. In fact, it is not even what we expect from a Third World country.

When confronted with a disaster, people usually rise to the occasion. They work together to rescue people in danger, and they spontaneously organize to keep order and solve problems. This is especially true in America. We are an enterprising people, used to relying on our own initiative rather than waiting around for the government to take care of us. I have seen this a hundred times, in small examples (a small town whose main traffic light had gone out, causing ordinary citizens to get out of their cars and serve as impromptu traffic cops, directing cars through the intersection) and large ones (the spontaneous response of New Yorkers to September 11).

So what explains the chaos in New Orleans?

To give you an idea of the magnitude of what is going on, here is a description from a Washington Times story:

"Storm victims are raped and beaten; fights erupt with flying fists, knives and guns; fires are breaking out; corpses litter the streets; and police and rescue helicopters are repeatedly fired on.

"The plea from Mayor C. Ray Nagin came even as National Guardsmen poured in to restore order and stop the looting, carjackings and gunfire....

"Last night, Gov. Kathleen Babineaux Blanco said 300 Iraq-hardened Arkansas National Guard members were inside New Orleans with shoot-to-kill orders.

" 'These troops are...under my orders to restore order in the streets,' she said. 'They have M-16s, and they are locked and loaded. These troops know how to shoot and kill and they are more than willing to do so if necessary and I expect they will.' "

The reference to Iraq is eerie. The photo that accompanies this article shows National Guard troops, with rifles and armored vests, riding on an armored vehicle through trash-strewn streets lined by a rabble of squalid, listless people, one of whom appears to be yelling at them. It looks exactly like a scene from Sadr City in Baghdad.

What explains bands of thugs using a natural disaster as an excuse for an orgy of looting, armed robbery, and rape? What causes unruly mobs to storm the very buses that have arrived to evacuate them, causing the drivers to drive away, frightened for their lives? What causes people to attack the doctors trying to treat patients at the Super Dome?

Why are people responding to natural destruction by causing further destruction? Why are they attacking the people who are trying to help them?

My wife, Sherri, figured it out first, and she figured it out on a sense-of-life level. While watching the coverage last night on Fox News Channel, she told me that she was getting a familiar feeling. She studied architecture at the Illinois Institute of Chicago, which is located in the South Side of Chicago just blocks away from the Robert Taylor Homes, one of the largest high-rise public housing projects in America. "The projects," as they were known, were infamous for uncontrollable crime and irremediable squalor. (They have since, mercifully, been demolished.)

What Sherri was getting from last night's television coverage was a whiff of the sense of life of "the projects." Then the "crawl"--the informational phrases flashed at the bottom of the screen on most news channels--gave some vital statistics to confirm this sense: 75% of the residents of New Orleans had already evacuated before the hurricane, and of the 300,000 or so who remained, a large number were from the city's public housing projects. Jack Wakeland then gave me an additional, crucial fact: early reports from CNN and Fox indicated that the city had no plan for evacuating all of the prisoners in the city's jails--so they just let many of them loose. There is no doubt a significant overlap between these two populations--that is, a large number of people in the jails used to live in the housing projects, and vice versa.

There were many decent, innocent people trapped in New Orleans when the deluge hit--but they were trapped alongside large numbers of people from two groups: criminals--and wards of the welfare state, people selected, over decades, for their lack of initiative and self-induced helplessness. The welfare wards were a mass of sheep--on whom the incompetent administration of New Orleans unleashed a pack of wolves.

All of this is related, incidentally, to the apparent incompetence of the city government, which failed to plan for a total evacuation of the city, despite the knowledge that this might be necessary. But in a city corrupted by the welfare state, the job of city officials is to ensure the flow of handouts to welfare recipients and patronage to political supporters--not to ensure a lawful, orderly evacuation in case of emergency.

No one has really reported this story, as far as I can tell. In fact, some are already actively distorting it, blaming President Bush, for example, for failing to personally ensure that the Mayor of New Orleans had drafted an adequate evacuation plan. The worst example is an execrable piece from the Toronto Globe and Mail, by a supercilious Canadian who blames the chaos on American "individualism." But the truth is precisely the opposite: the chaos was caused by a system that was the exact opposite of individualism.

What Hurricane Katrina exposed was the psychological consequences of the welfare state. What we consider "normal" behavior in an emergency is behavior that is normal for people who have values and take the responsibility to pursue and protect them. People with values respond to a disaster by fighting against it and doing whatever it takes to overcome the difficulties they face. They don't sit around and complain that the government hasn't taken care of them. They don't use the chaos of a disaster as an opportunity to prey on their fellow men.

But what about criminals and welfare parasites? Do they worry about saving their houses and property? They don't, because they don't own anything. Do they worry about what is going to happen to their businesses or how they are going to make a living? They never worried about those things before. Do they worry about crime and looting? But living off of stolen wealth is a way of life for them.

The welfare state--and the brutish, uncivilized mentality it sustains and encourages--is the man-made disaster that explains the moral ugliness that has swamped New Orleans. And that is the story that no one is reporting.
