Getting Harder To Feed Africa

With the recent spate of attacks on ships bound for the African coast’s pirate infested waters, one can only surmise that Africans had rather starve than stand up for themselves.  The two American ships that were attacked were carrying massive food aid to various ports in and around the pirate stronghold of Somalia.  Since half of the population of Somalia depends on this food aid to feed its starving population, not to mention other locations along Africa’s west coast, I’d say Africa – not the rest of the world has a vested interested in deterring and destroying the pirate industry. That’s right – I said, “pirate industry” because that’s what it is!

If all these self-professed pirates and all the other mostly Muslim “leaders” in this pitiful section of the world were willing to combine productive efforts to deliver their homelands from the scourge of poverty and hunger, they wouldn’t need the billions of dollars (and goods) the rest of the industrialized world delivers, (or attempts to deliver) to their wasted populations on a regular basis.

America has already fought her war against pirates and won.  In A History Lesson, an article I wrote a little over a year ago, I reminded readers of this point.  Tribute – that ill-named confiscation payment demanded by Muslims of non-Muslims - had been paid on a regular basis to ensure free passage of the shipping lanes in the same areas now targeted by modern day pirates.  Soon after America secured her independence, our fledgling country refused to continue this capitulation to terror.  While other nations, even in Europe, continued to be held up, America took to arms and refused the pirates’ demands.

Here is a quote from the ambassador from Tripoli, Sidi Haje Abdrahaman, (back in 1786), when asked by what right Tripoli could claim tribute from nations that had done no injury to his country:

"It was written in their Quran that all nations which had not acknowledged the Prophet (Muhammad) were sinners, whom it was the right and duty of the faithful (Muslims) to plunder and enslave; and that every Muslim who was slain in this warfare was sure to go to paradise."

The source for this quote is from a recent article by Judge Roy Moore, writing for WorldNet Daily.

That is the official Muslim take on the pirate industry – then and now.  Believe it.

The point is we didn’t need the world’s help then and we certainly don’t need it now.  So, why does our president say that we must join with the rest of the world community to address the current pirate assault?  Why do more and more of our judges, including Supreme Court Justices, say we must look to foreign law and undermine our own sovereignty in deciding how America progresses in the future?

Furthermore, why would ANY American citizen, much less our president, feel the need to disparage America on foreign soil – EVER?

Confiscated funds from American producers, via the ungodly tax code, have been used to feed the world’s hungry for many, many decades now.  This doesn’t even count the untold billions freely given by private American donations for the same purpose.  We have continued to prop up failing economies all over the world – especially in Africa – and the thanks we get consist of people demanding more and the pirate industry given a pass to continue its terror on the high seas!   Now Obama wants the world’s cooperation and places little or no expectation on the homeland of his own father to shoulder responsibility for the deplorable shape of Africa.  Perhaps the predominant religion in those worst of the worst regions has a lot to do with it.

Mr. Veritas found this little piece of video that takes a hard look at Obama in particular and Africa in general.  The speaker has every right to his opinion and might give pause to some who haven’t given much thought to the “race card” being played to elect Obama.

“Bowing” to the Muslim community may seem like a good idea to some.  Casting America as some sort of weakened member of the world community may seem like a good idea to some.  Placing America on a “level playing field” with the rest of the world may sound like a good idea to some.

But know this – if these things are employed with ever more vigor, more and more of Africa will starve!

Perhaps it just makes better sense to overrule the liberal/socialist/communist/progressive/ agenda, buttressed by the undeniable Muslim agenda against American traditionalists and continue to fight for American sovereignty and free enterprise productive rights so that we can, at least, continue to feed Africa.  It surely doesn’t look like they will ever do what it takes to feed themselves!
