Sarah Palin's Speech in China recently.  Although some in the media tried their best to discredit everything about her, it is now obvious to the most casual observer, (media? I don’t see no stinkin’ media) that this woman exudes intelligence, common sense, and hope.  In a chess game with the current administration, Sarah could win it blindfolded!

The School Speech – all in all, it’s a good speech.  Motivational, encouraging, empathetic without being sympathetic – placing the outcome of the country squarely on the kids’ shoulders.  The only negative I see is that while he can say, “What you make of your education will decide nothing less than the future of this country. What you’re learning in school today will determine whether we as a nation can meet our greatest challenges in the future.”

He has managed to blame everything he can on the “previous administration” when explaining the existing negatives in our economy etc., etc., etc.  It may be up to the kids to build a better future, but it was up to us (we previous generations) not to squander their resources.  Also it’s the “what they are learning in school today” that has the capacity to sink their future big time.  Just my two cents!

Tammy Bruce has a thing or two to say on the subject of McCain camp support of Sanford and trashing of Sarah Palin, that continued this week in the hit piece appearing in Vanity Fair.  (If you haven’t read that one, save your eyes – it’s far too long – probably due to the Pinocchio syndrome brought on by lying!)  But, then, we always did know that McCain attracts strange bedfellows.  Now, let me wrap all of this up for you – Tammy’s article, great as usual.  McCain camp and daughter – suffering from “morality compromised,” a social disease threatening common sense and integrity in today’s world.  Sarah Palin – probably the only reason a large number of us were able to hold our nose and vote for John McCain last November.  P.S.  If she wasn’t a threat, she would be off the radar by now!

There is a lot of sense in Thomas Sowell’s latest, Republicans In the Wilderness – as people are floundering around for a way to defeat the takeover of the left.  It reminds me of when I was first learning to type, (on a typewriter), yes, I’m THAT old!  The first exercise I learned was not about a quick sly fox jumping over a lazy dog – rather, it was simply: Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their party.  Later, strangely enough, the exercise was changed to: Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country.  Could it really be that simple?  However, as Mr. Sowell said, and I’ve always believed:

  “Unfortunately, the only political party with any chance of displacing the current leadership in Washington is the Republican Party.”

Evangelical Group Banned From Tulsa Housing Projects – Okay, see if you can follow the logic on this, folks.  From the article:

"They said they have a policy now whereby we can't come in and talk about God or Christ," Koehn said. "We can come in and play games and talk about moral things, but we can't mention the name of God."

This is just one example of God being banned all over the country.  At the same time, though, tolerance is being mandated and taught to children as young as kindergarten age as long as the subject is sexual preference.  Can anybody show me the logic???
